Abstract

When it comes to administration, it's been going on for as long as humanity has existed. However, it was Wilson's article on the study of administration, published in 1887, that established it as a field of study. Both governmental and commercial organisations engage in administration as a process. When it comes to workplaces, religious or philanthropic organisations, educational institutions and other types of establishments it is commonplace. As an entity, it is influenced by the context in which it is operating. Public and private administration are the two main forms of administration. In some form or another, it has been a part of governance since before there was a political system (s). Private business administration differs from public administration in that it deals with the management of privately owned businesses.
