Abstract

This paper is related to the perception of student teachers towards internship programme which is an integral part of teacher education programme. Internship is very helpful in developing teaching skills and competencies among student teachers. It provides opportunities to them to learn to apply the theoretical knowledge into practice. They come to know about their short comings and weaknesses. They improve their teaching as feedback is   also provided to them. The present study was conducted on 60 student teachers of Gurugram district. The findings show that a significant difference occurs in attitude of male and female student teachers. Similarly, there is a significant difference in attitude of student teachers belong to arts and science stream towards internship progrgamme. The study has its educational implications
