Abstract

Precision farming, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), is revolutionizing agriculture worldwide, including in India. This paper examines the application of AI and IoT technologies in Indian agricultural practices to improve crop yield, water usage, and resource management. The research evaluates AI models such as Decision Trees, Support Vector Machines (SVM), and Neural Networks, in combination with IoT sensors, to provide realtime insights into soil health, weather conditions, and crop growth. Case studies from Indian farms utilizing AI and IoT for precision farming are presented to demonstrate the tangible benefits of these technologies in terms of increased productivity and reduced costs. The paper also discusses the challenges faced by Indian farmers in adopting AI and IoT, such as the lack of digital infrastructure, training, and financial resources. The study concludes by offering recommendations for scaling these technologies to benefit smallholder farmers and enhance food security in India.
